We have started using Little Vista in the Naionra. We are finding it to be a valuable way of collecting information quickly, and an efficient way of communicating with our parents. We operate as Gaeilge and we have been impressed by the interest the staff at Little Vista have shown, and the support the staff have given in relation to training our staff at the Naionra to use the app. I have been really pleased at how the staff at Little Vista have made every effort to make the app work for other languages and in particular as Gaeilge. Little Vista have also shown that they are prepared to make the app compatible to the different uses it has in an Early Years Setting. We really enjoy using Little Vista.
We have been using Little Vista for 2 years now and we find it great. The team at Little Vista have excellent customer service. They provide on site training, videos, notes etc for training also and will also help parents having any difficulty with the app. Our parents love having the app and we find it a great tool for communicating the child's day to parents in real time.
Transitioning to a digital system was an easy decision for us in Toddlers Hill and one we have never looked back from. The Little Vista system has significantly reduced the time we were spending on our administration. Linking photos and Aistear with Observations and Activities is so much easier, and our parents love receiving updates. We'd highly recommend Little Vista to anyone in Childcare.
We have been using Little Vista for over 2 years now and it has really changed the way we run our service from day to day. From attendance keeping and recording details about children’s days to monitoring learning and communicating with parents, it has helped our staff to save time on paperwork so that they can give their attention to what truly matters – the children. Our parents love that they can keep up to date on their children in real time and not miss a moment of all the fun happening in our centre. The team at Little Vista have also been excellent to work with. They respond promptly and professionally to all queries and make the app a pleasure to use. We would recommend Little Vista to all other childcare centres who are looking to improve their service and the experience of the families who use it.
We are so happy to have little vista in our service, once staff become familiar with the simplicity of the system, it helps practitioners’ daily routine. It is very simple to use and parents love the updates, in particular, photo’s of the children in their environment throughout the day. It is such a useful tool particularly when we are inducting new children…. we can update parents during induction and they can see pic’s of their child happy – they feel an immediate connection! We also love the messaging piece to parents and likewise, parents use it a lot with us, for example, if we want to issue an infectious control note to parents and parents message us on absenteeism along with general updates. Without a doubt Little Vista makes our lives a lot easier!
We started using little vista at it's very early stages. At first we were scared to use new technology in our creche especially sending photos etc. We thought it might take up more time than writing but we loved it very quickly and would not be without it now. We are now using version 3 so we have seen many changes over the years. Some we haven't embraced as easy as others, a bit like getting a new phone, you just have to get used to it and see the positives. The observations and learning journals will be a definite plus but we are waiting until we can find our way around the new app before using that feature. Oisin has been a great support always ready to take our calls, give online tuition, responding to emails and taking on board our recommendations. The one feature we miss is the instant camera but after an onsight visit from Jules he has reassured us it will be reintroduced shortly. The parents love being part of their childrens day especially new families who may have never experienced a creche setting before. Having Little Vista 3 is definitely a plus for us.
At Popcorn Childcare, Skerries, we have implemented the new Little Vista system with reasonable ease. Despite early apprehensions our staff embraced the system with ease and now view its implementation as a new way to have fun with the children while documenting their daily progress. Little Vista has only recently been introduced to our parents following a parental meeting at which Maria and Kieran from Little Vista attended. The purpose was to introduce this new technology. We had a 90% attendance which clearly showed the enthusiasm of parents and with the exception of some minor introductory issues, they too have been extremely supportive of the project. The forthcoming introduction of the Aistear framework onto the system will only further enhance its advantages and potential. The system is surprisingly user friendly and familiarization comes easily. It is hoped that we will eliminate paperwork almost entirely, and the fact that Childcare Regulations state all children’s records must be retained until a child is 18 years of age. We look forward to a long relationship with Little Vista, the system makes absolute sense for us given that these paperless records can now be efficiently stored in the Cloud. Popcorn Childcare.
